Let me tell you a little about myself. I’m Rebecca and I live on the outskirts of Cardiff, South Wales with my husband and two children. I'm lucky to live in a small leafy village surrounded by beautiful woodlands and green fields, close to stunning coastline. As a family we love the outdoors and like nothing more than going for a muddy walk in the woods or a stroll along the beach, but sadly it’s an all too familiar sight to see stunning natural beauty completely spoilt by plastic pollution.
With this in mind we started to try and reduce our plastic consumption and though it can be challenging at times, many switches we’ve made, have been so simple, yet really contribute towards a more sustainable future. The children have embraced our family attempt at moving towards a minimal waste lifestyle and are always reminding us to take out our reusable water bottles, are refusing straws and love doing litter picks. It’s even become habit for them to pick up litter as we walk around locally! For anyone who feels disheartened by the sheer volume of plastic pollution, there is hope for the next generation!
So why Eco Beau?
I've always had a dream of running my own business and wanted to do something I really care about, something that mattered. Learning more about climate change and sustainable development whilst working for UNICEF, gave me a passion for making a difference - even a small one - so that my children can grow up in a world where nature and the environment are restored and appreciated.
Knowing of the devastating impact of plastic pollution, I decided that I wanted to be part of a movement to reduce plastic consumption by offering sustainable alternatives.
Eco Beau is here to help you on your journey to a minimal waste lifestyle. It can feel really overwhelming initially but remember it's not about perfection. Here at Eco Beau we believe it's about changing habits, one step at a time, working towards a goal and supporting those around you.
